Starts tonight at 10pm. Hopefully making this post will also remind me to watch it!
I'm so jealous of anyone with cable/the Univision app right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that episodes will be available after 7 days. So if I drop by it will be with late comments. 🙄
Sooo... Has anyone watched it? Got any first impressions for me? Were there desserts from the get go or are we going to have to wait?
There is not a lot of baking in the first two episodes. Grandma Dulce teaches Maria to bake, but she doesn't teach us.
Maria and Amadeo both belong to families of killers headed by sweet older women. The two families have been feuding for who knows how long. Maria and Amadeo think they can get them to make peace, but no, because their families are jerks.
Univision had a couple of clips up so I watched those in desperation. My biggest fears are this will drag in like Amor Eterno (I didn't watch that but I noticed it was on forever.) and that the baking won't be as prevalent as the promos made it look. I guess I can watch the first episode in about a week.
I don't know if the first episode is a good advertisement for the rest of the show. I'm not sure I would continue watching if I thought the whole thing was going to be about the feuding families picking each other off one by one.
Episode 3 is still pretty dark, but we have a potential galan. Or a second galan.
Well... It's been a week and still no access to even the first episode. This might be one they aren't sharing with peons like me.
Supposedly today the nueva etapa starts, but I still haven't seen past Episode 3.
Well I've given up hope. I don't think this is one that will be available. Vencer el Miedo is another I kinda wanted to try but those episodes aren't available either. Drat.
OK, so Episode 4 is still in the past: pregnancy, more murder, the start of the cake biz and the search for the bisnietas.
Episode 5 has more cake, but it's all show and no tell. Six months pass, Amadeo and Maria are both told the other one is dead. It sends Maria into premature labor.
I'm kind of getting a vibe between Amadeo and his physical therapist, but of course, that could be just me.
Ha! I was right about the physical therapist!
Episode 6 skips to where all the kids are grown and Maria is the queen of cake. I think without seeing where she started, I would have thought she was pretentious.
Finished episode 8 and I agree with everyone who says Josiane is spoiled. But it seems like "being an influencer" is too much work for the return, which I expect her to figure out before this is all over.
