Entre Dos Amores on UniMás
Starting tonight at 10pm/9c on UniMás
Original Turkish title: Fatih Harbiye
I think we've been had. I don't think this is about the boys as much as it is Neriman getting stuck between the more traditional Turkish culture vs. the more modern one. I mean, maybe we'll still get some love and romance shenanigans, but this sure started out super serious.
OK, the party in Episode 3 was bringing it with the fantasy romance and giving me all sorts of "I want a cute boy to drag me out of a party and take me out on his boat" vibes, but then Macit started freaking out and yelling. I dunno...my continued recapping of this show kind of depends on how he behaves.
I was really in the mood for a classic Turkish novela, so I'm loving this. It has a lot of the elements that I liked in Tormenta, but it's not as dark.
Looks like we'll see lots of power-walking up and down the hilly, winding streets that we saw so much of in Tormenta! 🙂
Love the friendship between Neriman and Fahriye. It seems genuinely warm and mutually supportive.
I'm up to Monday, finally. This is definitely the neighborhood everyone must have been living in when they said they had to walk to school every day uphill, both ways.
Sometimes I think I'm getting older because I can identify more with the adults than the kids, but in this one I'm definitely on the side of the kids. And it sucks that Neriman going to a party and falling into the ocean is just sooooo dishonorable, etc. but Sinasi can beat guys up in the street and that's totally OK.
