This was a great 2nd episode. I wonder if each episode will have a different case in addition to Falco's story line.

I think it's safe to say that's our format. A murder a week and a little bit of Falco adjusting.

Another good episode.  I enjoyed  Tenoch having to catch Falco up on the 21st century.  Considering the serious problem of femicide, I was impressed  that Tenoch brought it up as the motivating reason for them to take the case at their boss’ direction.  I could get on my soap box about how femicide is not limited to countries south of the border  . . . but I will stop here.

I like soap boxes. And it's true, it's a serious issue and has been for some time, but it feels like only lately it's getting any attention. And still there are people who will deny it, just like they deny that sexism exists.

Kat, ITA.  Another wrinkle in the issue is that Native American women in particular in the USA are  disappearing at alarming rates.  There also was a series about Native American women disappearing in Canada on the Investigation Discovery network.  It is worrisome that it is not a daily news item but,  hey, they are only women, right?  Cynical comment, I know,  but that is how I feel. We are still waiting for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment after how many years????

Linda, Yes, Tenoch has become a character worthy of our attention.  😀

I like Tenoch. He's snarky 🙂 And he and Falco finishing each others' sentences in Salomón's office was cute.

Another solid episode.  Quite creative: the first responder police officer getting poisoned by giving mouth to mouth to the poisoning victim.

I know that part of Falco’s schtick is his car but he can hardly follow anybody inconspicuously in it.   I would even notice it.

I'm chalking that up to Stef being distracted by realizing her ex killed her girlfriend.

So if this week's case is a cautionary tale about treating women like objects, Caro's Stef, Felipe's Julia, and Falco's Elena. Felipe and Falco need to get a grip. Caro's made her choice.

They couldn't have cut fifteen minutes from Exatlón? I say that in the snobbiest tone of voice imaginable.

Fifteen minutes is fifteen minutes. I started watching Sharknado in those fifteen  minutes but was not in the mood . . . but I might have been.

That being said, it was another interesting and solid episode last night.  I hope Falco solves the mystery of his assault by the end of this and that they do not want to drag it out into a second season.

Nah. I'm sure they'll leave room for a second season, but they're not going to leave something like that hanging.

When I started up my recording, I was so worried when I saw that it was only 45 minutes long!  I was sure I was going to miss the denouement.  So, did they edit it down to fit in that slot?

They sure did. It messed up the captions. They'd have a line at the beginning or end of the scene that no one said out loud.

I sure hope not but I have seen it happen before like on “ The Killing”.

This one is so easy to watch.   It just keeps chugging along: another good mystery, appropriate ending with Carol and remembering who shot him.
