Weekdays 9am/8c
I also didn't really plug La Hija Pródiga but I kind of want to check it out just for not being a Televisa telenovela.
It's an Azteca production. Joshua Mintz is the exec producer or something. He used to be the guy over novelas at Telemundo.
Alejandro Camacho is in it and Aura Geithner. There were other faces I recognized but I don't remember names. There will be some romance for sure, but there's a heavy dose of mystery which could be interesting. I'm a little fuzzy on some of the details.
The acting and production value feel a little amateur. Even from Camacho. A little disappointing.
But I really want to know what the hell really happened!
I set the DVR too late, but I should catch it tomorrow. Mostly out of curiosity, because it's actually fairly recent and unlike Televisa we don't usually get Azteca novelas in the US.
I admit I only watched out of curiosity. I didn't know anything about the show beyond what the DVR description was (and we know how "great" those can be.)
The first episode convinced me enough to watch the second, but I can easily drop it if it goes off the rails.
Wow. This is really bad acting. And the sets and lighting make it look old. It doesn't look like it originally aired in 2017.
But, yeah, I'm curious what happened and where she's been.
And then the weird phone call about wanting to talk to her son. What is going on here?!
Right? It's not the greatest production. It's really bad. But what in the world happened? And where's here kidney? (Or is that a red herring?)
I can't get over the bad acting.
I completely forgot this has a catch-up marathon on Sunday mornings. I'll be able to catch the first episode after all.
Just watched the first ep, and it did intrigue me! My cable also offers it on demand, which is how I plan to catch up. You might want to check if your provider also has it on demand.
Definitely a cheaply made novela, but I love all the secrets! Who else plans to watch?
I'm a little behind since I was in the midst of my daughter's wedding Thursday - Sunday, but I plan on watching despite all the flaws. I have to know what happened!
I'm really liking it. The central mystery is intriguing, but everyone in the story--and I mean *everyone*--has secrets. I hope you both can catch up soon. Sara, congrats on your daughter's wedding!
Thanks @Linda F.!
I should get caught up on this this weekend. I'm only two episodes behind. I am very entertained by it, even though it is rather cheap. I have a long list of things that are "wrong" with the show, but then I think how wrong can it be if I can't stop watching it????
ETA: I think Salvador might be the only character without any secrets...unless I just haven't gotten there yet. Pamela has her issues now, but I don't believe she had much to do with the events 20 years ago. She was too young wasn't she? And mom sure doesn't seem like a mom to me at all.
