La Suerte de Loli
My guess is that Paulina's lover was Vicente. What do you think?
Of the two new Telemundo novelas, I'm liking Frida better than Loli. Loli is full of clichés, especially the one-dimensional female rival competing with Loli for Rafael's affections. Why can't they ever create a nuanced female antagonist?
I agree, I think it's Vicente. Because that would be an especially good reason not to tell him!
I don't know where they're going with this. At the beginning I was sure they were trying to say that you can't be fulfilled unless you have children. But then I look at Paulina and the moms' chat and they're all kind of horrible.
I just wanted it to be 9 to 5 and its not and I'm disappointed. Or you know not exactly 9 to 5, but nine to fiveish. Maybe some actual believable girl power in a real life setting?
I wanted Paulina to be fun, likeable, and to be a team with Loli and Rox.
And yes Loli and Nora teaming up would be the best thing for the kids, but no apparently that can't happen either. Because Nora has to be the bad mom from the older generation who "doesn't get it" *eyeroll*
Because women in tv have to do it all on their own for some reason, until some nice guy comes along to help them?
I mean, I understand that its not very original to re-do 9 to 5 but neither is it very original to have love triangles and frenemies and over the top jealous exes or almost exes and this show has all of that crap.
Seriously, why can't we get just one show where the female characters all support and like each other even when they're different. I want a show where women help each other out to make things better for everyone. I'm tired of seeing women turn on each other at the drop of a hat. And making a character so ridiculously terrible so that the other characters can't be friends with her and there's no way we'll like her or sympathize with her is stupid and disappointing.
Plus, Angie? What even is the point of her? Pot stirrer? I don't need any more women characters to hate, k'thanx
Maybe I'm making too much of this but I'm tired of this bs.
Yes, Angie! Finally an Asian character who's not a stereotype or there for "comic" relief and she's awful!
Also, what does it say about Rafael that one of his longtime close friends is Vicente? ¡Pésimo gusto!
@kat, you were right that Silvia Navarro was trying to do a dialect. In last night's episode, she tells Sam that she's from Chihuahua and "por eso el acento". I thought she might be trying to sound norteña, but she was born in Guanajuato, so it must be a challenge.
A prediction: I think that Octavio will turn out to be Sam's biological father, rather than Nicky's. Remember how he thought there was something familiar about Sam the first time he saw her?
My next paternity prediction: Rogelio is Loli’s biological dad, making Vicente her half-brother.
Is anyone else watching this mediocre mess besides me? 😂
Here's an interview with Gisella Aboumrad, who plays Rox. She's so likable and interesting, but I wish the interviewer hadn't been so obsessed with the topic of Gisella's weight:
