[Sticky] Other Spanish-language TV
I saw parts of this last night too, and laughed at the word games, I never really felt my Spanish was adequate till I could get jokes in Spanish. I felt like I was missing the point on the tilting stage thing, glad I wasn't the only one nonplussed by whatever that was supposed to be about.
I liked Ricardo Margaleff in CQM (he played Cristian).
He's on Tenías que ser tú right now and I'm liking him in that too. I really liked him in Amorcito Corazón. I just generally like him all around 😁
It's not completely in Spanish, but is anyone watching Jane the Virgin on The CW? I love Jaime Camil's character!
I watched the first couple of seasons and then I got lost around the time the CW was fighting with my cable provider. Remezcla does recaps of it, but I don't know how far back they go. https://remezcla.com/tag/jane-the-virgin/
Did anybody try Morir en Martes on UniMas or Sin Miedo a la Verdad on Univision?
Morir en Martes is kind of badly written, badly acted, and feels dubbed even though the original language was Spanish and it's a Televisa production.
I feel like I've caught glimpses of both of them but couldn't tell you even one thing about them. Time to check the schedule, see when they're on and try to watch an episode. 🤓
And now suddenly it looks like they're yanking Morir en Martes and I'm kind of offended on its behalf. We had decided to go ahead and record it, just for something more to watch in Spanish. Maybe it's an error.
You're right, @kat. It looks like it's only on through next week. That's certainly going to leave its viewers in the lurch with an unfinished story. And I'm still waiting for Season 2 of El Príncipe!
I wouldn't be surprised if Morir en Martes got canceled. I tried to watch Friday's episode and couldn't make it through. Its bad. I didn't even care what was going on in the epi I tried to watch.
Sin Miedo was better, though the episode I watched had a slow start and I couldn't really get into it, because, I don't know why, maybe the same reason I didn't watch El Pantera, it seems similar to that. I'm just not feeling it.
"De Mi Rancho A Tu Cocina" This YouTube channel is relatively new and I haven't seen all the videos, but it's exactly what it says it is. Una señora cooking on her comal at her rancho.
I watched a couple of the videos. She's good.
I liked how in one she says commenters have been criticizing her for her oven being all smoke covered and stuff and she's like 'yeah cuz I cook on it every day, but at least my kitchen's clean' I was like, yeah her kitchen is clean (cleaner than it would be if I lived there tbh Not that I don't clean up, but it looks like it'd be hard to keep those walls that white)
