Natalia found the preliminary results and ran out of Isa’s bedroom, but the only other scene we see her in today has nothing to do with them!!

Lucita is still feeling awful about Simon’s death. She wants to talk to Padre V. She sends her son to go find him. She’s thinking of creating a foundation in Simon’s  name. After her son stalks out, she finds a cell phone. She doesn’t remember buying it. She curses her memory about the same time I curse mine. There were a couple of scenes today where I felt quite lost. So, Lucita finds a cell and then we cut to Laura…

…Laura is leaving a message for Bruno semi-warning him that Pedro’s condolence visit is more like a trap. Pedro bangs on the door….but she cleverly hides the phone in the pillow *eyroll*. He grabs her other cell and check the call history. He seems only mildly appeased. Pedro (who is still annoyingly alive…YOU, PEDRO! YOU SHOULD BE THE CHICHARRÓN!) wants to know why Laura is not ready yet. She claims she has a headache, but Pedro ain’t buyin’ it. Maybe she just wants to avoid going over there because she doesn’t want Pedro to figure out that Bruno is her amante. Laura denies it. Pedro tells Laura to kiss him like she does Bruno. Show him all the dirty things they do together. He throws her on the bed and starts unbuttoning his shirt.  Ew! Ew! Ew! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!

Edwina arranges flowers and thinks about Simon’s declaration of love. Fidel comes in and asks about her. She is so sure Simon is  alive. It doesn’t matter what anyone says. She knows he’ll come back. Poor Fidel tries to convince her that Simon is dead.

Bruno informs the group at Conatrol that some wreckage has been found. He asks Anto to tell Sara.

Rodabalodo calls and informs Padre V that Lucita needs to see him. Padre says goodbye to Merce. Anto calls to tell Sara they found some wreckage. Sara is on her way to the area where they found the pieces. Merce doesn’t want to go. Poor Juancho! If they find Simon he doesn’t want to see him. He wants to remember Simon as he was.

Oh lovely. Isa is in San Gaspar…and as charming as ever (and by “charming” I mean bitchy. Really bitchy.) Chepe doesn’t want to let her in since Anto is not home. She takes great pleasure in telling him that she is Antonio’s wife. She flounces through the gate.

Sara has forgotten her phone and backtracks and calls up to her mother. Merce comes out on the balcony. She’ll bring the phone down. Isa runs into Sara and gets all grabby. Sara, being the truly classy one tries to ignore the insults that Isa is slinging at her, but Isa won’t let it go. Merce comes down about this time and tells Isa to stop being rude because they are dealing with a death in the family…and listen to what Isa says…”Good thing….you’ve got to exterminate pests.” She totally deserves the big ol’ wallop that Sara gives her. It knocks her into the pool too. Damn Skippy. Isa does some more sputtering and insulting. Sara tells her not to mess with her or her family. Isa threatens to tell Anto. Sara assures Isa that she’ll tell him herself. Chepe runs up and offers to get Isa a towel.

Merce agrees that Isa probably deserved that slap considering the horrible things that she said, but Merce worries that the last thing they need is more problems. Sara isn’t  backing down. You can’t say rude and crappy things to people and not expect to have to answer for it. Merce can’t believe Anto is back with Isa. Sara isn’t really going to tell Anto. She’ll let Isa do that. Sara doesn’t  think Isa would have the nerve to actually tell Anto the things she said.

Vlad and Edwina talk about Simon. Edwina tells the boy that Simon is not dead. If they close their eyes and think about him, maybe they can see him like she did in her dream. Fidel is worried about the ideas that Edwina is putting in Vlad’s head, but Magda thinks Edwina just needs time to accept that Simon is dead. When they find Simon’s remains, Edwina will have to face the truth.

Isa looks like hell and she deserves it. She throws some more insults at Merce. Crap about people of her “class.” Merce really can’t see how someone like Anto fell for Isa. Oh, that pissed off Isa. Woo hoo!

The Padre comes to see Lucita who is still wracked with guilt. It’s no one’s fault. He tells her to pray for the eternal rest of Simon’s soul. Maybe some other things, too? Going from memory as I over fast-forwarded.

Oh boy. Isa decides she’s going to make Sara pay. She punches herself in the face.

Profe C, Serena, Sebas, Anto and Bruno start the search. Anto is in his sports coat, which I find funny.

Fidel and Quintin talk about Edwina and they are worried that she can’t seem to accept that Simon is dead. Isa interrupts this conversation. She wants to press charges against Sara. It’s Sunday so she’ll have to wait until they find the ministerio publico and some medical somethingerother so she can make her statement(?) She can’t believe what a hick town she’s dealing with.

Luckily Fidel is not a telenovela trope and he actually investigates. He calls Sara. Sara swears she just pushed Isa a little (hmmm…maybe a little fib, Sara? I saw a wind up and a slap…) Merce and Chepe were there. They can tell Fidel what happened. Sara promises to come to the station as soon as she’s done with the search.

Titina! It’s been a while, chica. You entertain the stew out of me…but this plan to continue the fake pregnancy and dupe Sebas out of money? Not cool. Titina wants to go buy some cloth so she can make a baby bump. She wants the whole world to think she’s the embodiment of maternity.

Sara arrives at the search site. She’s annoyed they left without her. She kicks the wheel and hurts her foot. Anto is actually waiting for her. Of course he would not leave her. He wonders if she’s mad at him for telling her not to come. She appreciates all he’s doing, but that’s not going to change things. They head off to find the others with Anto in the lead.

Isa makes her statement. Fidel seems to be taking it for the BS that it is.

Here’s the weird scene with Natalia talking to some chica I swear I’ve never seen before. Some tal Mateo found out that the magazine didn’t have any sort of arrangement with Chelo and didn’t even know he was getting married. All I get out of this is 1. It has nothing to do with Natalia finding the audit papers and 2. Chelo has been playing her to force her to marry him. Natalia is pissed. WHAT ABOUT THE AUDIT, PAPERS???? I feel like Lucita.

Pedo…digo PedRo comes to see Merce. Laura and I are both relieved that Bruno is not there.

Pieces of the rocket are found. Bruno cries.

Sara and Anto walk and think. She’s worried that she was rude to Antonio after all he’s doing for them. He assumes that she’s fuming and thinks he’s the devil himself. He turns to her and wants to talk. They are interrupted by Sebas on the walkie talkie. They’ve found some parts of the rocket.

Merce tells Pedro and Laura about the accident. She gets emotional talking about the rocket exploding. Pedro acts like he’s a nice guy and cares about Merce’s feelings and offers to help. Poor Merce falls for this nice guy act and politely declines his help. Anto has already offered the resources of Conatrol. Pedro sees this as an opening to get some info. So things aren’t as bad between the two of them as people think. Merce explains it’s just a business relationship between them. As he leaves, Pedro tells Merce to tell Sara not to worry about the debt right now. She can pay whenever she can.

Edwina heads back to her house. She needs to fix herself up so when Simon comes she won’t look like hell. Magda is starting to worry.

Fidel questions Chepe and learns that Sara did push Isa into the pool, but he didn’t see any injuries on Isa. If he had, he would have called for medical attention. Chepe is more than willing to go to the station and give his statement. Pedro and Laura are walking out of the apartment building. Pedro and Fidel exchange guarded words about saqueadores. Fidel assures Pedro he’ll find them. Pedro wishes him luck with that.

Sara and Anto catch up to Profe C and the rest. She sees the pile of scraps.

Merce tells Padre V about Sara’s run in with Isa. Sara calls and cries. She tells him about the wreckage.

Chepe sees Isa and can’t believe how beat up she looks. He tells Fidel she did not look like that when he got her out of the pool. She says he’s lying, but Chepe swears that if she had looked like that, he would have at least brought her some ice. Fidel asks Isa if she wants to sign her statement…reminding her that lying on a statement is a crime. Isa thinks Chepe is in cahoots with Sara. Chepe swears he’s there of his own free will in order to tell what he saw. Isa huffs out. Fidel receives a call from Rafa and is informed of the find. There’s no doubt Simon is dead.

Eduardo is looking better. Ema tells him that Anto married Isa…and that he did it to keep Ed out of jail. Eduardo is not happy about it. Eduardo knows his son still loves Sara. Eduardo wishes they had told him. He tells Ema that he only took 600,000 pesos….in order to cover the cost of the car SHE bought. Eduardo blames himself for doing it. He wants to talk to Isa and clear things up.

Bruno and Sara have erected a little cross. They cry and say goodbye to Simon.

Fidel calls Edwina and tells her about finding the parts of the rocket…but not Simon. She takes this as proof that he’s still alive. Fidel wants her to stay with them a few days, but she wants to be at her house when Simon returns.

Anto, Bruno, Profe C etc all comfort each other. So.many.tears. Sara and Anto hug.

Fin

Gracias, Sara! I’m feeling as confused as you are about why Natalia is wasting time worrying about getting out of her marriage to Marcelo instead of using that preliminary audit to get Antonio out of his marriage to Isabel. I guess that’s selfish of me, but…priorities!

I’m glad Eduardo has recovered enough to be able to defend himself without it causing another crisis.

I’m incredibly annoyed that they’re giving up on Simon already. And I agree, Pedro should be the chicharrón!

I know they’ve got to, but I’m still dreading watching. The last week? Week and a half? has been so filled with tears.

Thank you, Sara. I can’t believe I forgot to set the new dvr, so I missed this. Sorry I missed the slap. I’m very glad Fidel actually investigated Isabel’s claims.

I’m not sorry I missed all the tears. I hope Simon comes back today.

I saw the other day when Bruno forgot his phone at Luisita’s house when they searched for the letter. This whole phone storyline is making me nervous.

Fidel not taking her word for it just because she’s “a Cisneros” was awesome!

The usual FANTASTIC RECAP, Sara style.
My fav (of many):
” Sara swears she just pushed Isa a little (hmmm…maybe a little fib, Sara? I saw a wind up and a slap…) ” Ha ha. I saw that “wind up and a slap” too!
Pedro continues to scare the bleep out of me. I’m always terrified for Laura. You know Pedro’s gonna find that phone at some point.
It’s funny. I can’t wait for each plot development, but I don’t want my “Vecina” fix to come to an end.

Sara thanks for another great one I liked “Ew! Ew! Ew! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!” its a perfect scene sum up Hey maybe when Pedro finds Laura’s phone, Lucita will still have Bruno’s and he’ll be foiled? and give up? and sparkly butterflies will pick up Laura and float her to safety? ok I’m grasping at straws, I know. Chepe could at least have called Tonio to check with him, just because someone says she’s someone’s wife doesn’t mean she is. But then we wouldn’t have had the slap and that was just too great to miss. I’m not ashamed to… Read more »

Go ahead and use it, for me if somebody likes it enough to remember and use that’s good enough (not to say that I will sneer at being given credit though 🙂 )
