What’s happening this week

Today and tomorrow, Univision and Telemundo are hosting telethons to raise funds for victims of the recent natural disasters. Both start at 7pm Eastern–Univision on Saturday and Telemundo on Sunday.

Sunday night, UniMás airs a 3-hour finale for Rosario Tijeras starting at 8pm/7c. Monday night, Lady La Vendedora de Rosas takes its place.

It appears that the finale of Mi Adorable Maldición got bumped to Monday on Univision, which pushes the start of Las Amazonas back to Tuesday.

Salomé starts Monday on Univision tlnovelas.

Next week: all seems quiet. Hopefully there won’t be any further natural or man-made disasters.

Check the Horario for the regular schedule of telenovelas and series, the Calendar for events (including pre-emptions and schedule changes), the Proximas list for upcoming shows, and the Streaming page to keep up with what’s available on Netflix, Blim, the network apps, and more.

Kat is 5ftLatina. She is really 5' tall (and probably shrinking) and Latina. She is not actually a cactus, but she is both prickly and cute. Mr. 5ft is actually married to Kat, but is not 5' tall or Latina. He is also not a form of plant life.

Did you hear that Julián Gil will be hosting MQB for just this Sunday? Javier Poza had a family matter to attend.

I just listened to a podcast about the premier of “El César” in Mexico (the series that will air soon on Telemundo). This is a podcast normally dedicated to movies, but they made an exception this time, because they said the series has cinematic elements. It sounds like it’s several rungs above the typical TV production and will definitely be worth checking out when it airs here. I’m not a boxing fan, but I now plan to tune in. Here’s the podcast:
