What we know from promo videos is that Loli “inherits” her best friend’s kids, which doesn’t exactly sound like romantic comedy material. She also accidentally goes out with the married guy who ends up being her boss. Also, not so much romance or comedy there. So why am I excited for this? Silvia Navarro, Osvaldo Benavides, the cute kid who played Arley Jr. on La Pilota 2, Christian Chavez and Gisella Aboumrad as Loli’s work buddies.
As for the tag line, “Cuando te toca ni aunque te quites,” it’s a dicho that’s often followed by “Y cuando no te toca ni aunque lo pongas.” When something is meant for you, you’re getting it even if you try to avoid it, and when something isn’t meant for you, you’re not getting it even if you try to take it.
La Suerte de Loli begins tomorrow night at 9pm Eastern on Telemundo. For pictures and video, check out the show’s Twitter account at @SuerteDeLoli
