We return you to your smoochies already in progress. Pedro thinks this is way better than his dream. He could die happy right now…or kiss her for the rest of his life. When Fernanda says she loves him, he wants to clarify… “me? Or the other one?”
Since Wednesday is Don Chente’s birthday, we thought we’d wish him a good one a few days early and start your week off with El Rey.
Marina defends her testimony on Mercurio’s behalf with “It was the truth.” Her bosses don’t care. She wasn’t authorized to take responsibility, it makes the agency look bad, the news will be all over it, blah blah blah.
Not a lot of our favorite guy this episode. Mercurio is out of jail and looking for a job. Unfortunately, political asylum doesn’t automatically come with permission to work and no one will hire him without work authorization.
Here is your weekly open thread and blog update. Comments and questions are welcome and nothing is off-topic.
First, some good news
El Molcajete is on an upswing. Merce and Rosa are thrilled to be so busy and Merce hopes it will get Sara out of debt–and out of CONATROL–faster. Rosa knows what’s what, though…Sara and Antonio can’t keep away from each other. An invitation to a cheese and embutido tasting comes in and Merce wants to encourage Sara to go.
Fernanda and Ignacio frantically tuck clothes back in, and Ignacio goes to hide while Fernanda opens the door to “Leonardo.” She barely even looks upset until he shows her the flowers and chocolates. Since “he” had told her before that he thought those things were cheesy. Pedro babbles an apology until she rips them out of his hands and tells him to sit down. He sits right next to her. Personal space, Pedro.
I feel the need to warn you in advance that there was a lot of Pedro today, so you can have your antacids or your lavender essential oils or a strong cocktail at the ready.
Some people are getting warmer and some are getting ready for the fires of hell
Simon lights up the sticks, which he has used to spell “I love you, Edwina!” No, I wish. They spell out “SOS.”
The guests applaud for the bride and Pedro still doesn’t realize what’s going on. He thinks Ignacio’s the one getting married. So…he must be this “Leonardo” the judge mentions, right? He tries to push Ignacio into place in front of Fernanda, but Ignacio pushes right back. Everyone starts asking him what’s wrong, but when the judge asks, Ignacio tells him to please continue, and then leaves Pedro standing there. With Fernanda. In front of the judge. I’d love to hear his internal monologue.
