Happy Monday! This was the most-sung song on La Reina de la Canción (and I know because I made a monster list), Ya Lo Sé, here performed by Natalia Jimenez:
I don’t know about you, but I’m both excited and sad for the end of this show.
Tonight we’re getting down to the four finalists for the competition. Ale’s dress looks like it was made for dancing. Yes, yes, the judges are all gorgeous, let’s get on with it! Ale asks them what the most difficult thing has been. Vicky and Marisol say it’s been the eliminations. Lucero had a hard time letting go of Olivia and Beatriz M. Poncho says it’s been great getting to know all the contestants.
That dress Alejandra’s wearing is art. Marisol’s working the Marilyn look again tonight. Ale welcomes the judges and asks what’s more important to them at this point–vocal skill or a good performance. The answer, of course, is all of it. And Lucero, as we know, cuts people slack for a good performance. Poncho agrees. You know Vicky still hears all the wrong notes, though…just saying. I don’t think she can help it.
Tonight we go from seven contestants to six. It’s also the last week of the competition.
We’re in the final phase of the competition. Seven contestants are left and they’re all singing tonight.
I voted, you voted, we all voted…and tonight somebody goes home.
By now we’re all getting into the habit, right?
Yay! It’s Monday!
Update on Carmen here. Looks like she’s OK, she just hadn’t eaten, which I totally get. And there are fifty million other videos about it because let’s make it the biggest deal we possibly can–including speculating on whether she “really” fainted or not, which I so don’t even care. What difference does it make? (/rant)
