Hürrem dictates a love letter for Suleyman to Firial Kalfa.
And now we see the brilliance of Hürrem’s plan. She didn’t go show Suleyman her face, he’s the one who insisted on seeing it. And she didn’t tell him Mahidevran did it, he’s the one who said her whole name. He goes to Mahidevran’s room and says he never wants to see so much as her shadow again. He tells his mom he’s exiling Mahidevran to the old palace right the hell now, but Mustafá stays with him.
Hürrem tells Suleyman she wants to convert to Islam, so he covers her head in a gorgeous gold veil and has her repeat after him. And that, apparently, is that.
The emerald ring drama isn’t over. Mahidevran wants it back. Sultana Ayşe tells Daye to make sure Mahidevran wins this round.
Matrak is play sword fighting with Nerf bats and mom’s couch cushions for shields. Suleyman wins.
Aleks and Suleyman finally get their night together, on a Wednesday. But Aleks wants to keep him occupied through Thursday night, in the hopes of having a “blessed” child. She succeeds (with the Thursday) and Mahidevran’s devastated. Suleyman names Aleks “Hürrem,” what gives happiness and light to our (or his?) face. Musta been the charades.
Mahidevran and Mustafá have arrived at the palace and grandma Hafse is unhappy with Mustafá’s bratty behavior.
